Telstra Rural Journalist & Photographer of the Year Awards

Since 1996, South Australian journalists and photographers reporting on issues effecting regional South Australia have competed for the prestigious Telstra Rural Journalist & Photographer of the Year Awards.

The annual Awards programme is hosted and coordinated by Rural Media SA and applicants are required to be financial members of RMSA.

The Awards recognise year long sustained commitment to excellence and effort in rural journalism and photography.

The Telstra Rural Journalist & Photographer of the Year Award's sponsors, Telstra BigPond, PIRSA,Fuller and Horticulture Coalition SA, provide cash and trophies valued at more than $8,000. The Awards are presented at a special awards lunch in December at the Adelaide Show Ground.

Entries of a portfolio of work convey a sense of the passion and commitment and reflect the diversity of the regional communities and industries that play a fundamental role in the fabric of South Australia.
